Thinking of doing a garden theme and was wondering if anyone use potted plants on their tables? Any other DIY centerpiece ideas?

I am doing a garden theme but my FH wants high centerpieces so we decided on half high and half low centerpieces. My original idea for the centerpieces were to be watering cans that was filled with flowers. They sell really nice watering cans at AC Moore silver. I bought 2 watering cans which are pink from national wholesale liquidators ($3.00) and I will put tulips in it for the seating card table with wheat grass for the cards.

My Aunt saw a picture in MS and wanted to do this for her DIL's baby shower. Here is what I made for them: They are Hostas in vases and I filled the bottom with Blueberries (b/c she was having a boy)
