Centerpieces

What is the average price for centerpieces? I keep looking at ones that cost $200-$250...and with 20 tables...that's $5000 just for the tables. i expected flowers to be $5000 total. Am I picking expensive centerpieces...or is this the going price?

Im having this problem also. I had hoped to spend $100 each but it seems they are all 2x that!

Edit* I like cala lilies and those willow branches with hanging candels. This is expensive to start. Roses and dasies really bring the cost of flowers down.

Girls - my best advice to you is to call Flower Barn in Seaford. I booked them last week and I have high CP's. Trust me!!!!!!!!!!!

I definitely second Flower Barn!! I met with Mike. He gave us a really good price on High CP's but we went w/ the lows anyway because we are trying to save a bit... out of all the places i visited this was the one that was the most professional, not too 'salesy', affordable, and actually showed me the flowers he was going to use.

Re: Centerpieces

your quotes of $200-$250 sound very high to me. my friend who just got married in july paid $3,500 for all her centerpieces & bridal party flowers. she had 30 tables (tall centerpieces), 9 bridesmaids, & 11 groomsmen. this also included her bo-k.

here is a pic of the bo-k i had. & i think they looked beautiful.

Yea thats a bit high....i guess depending on what you want. My high cp are costing me about $150 ( i think) and thats with roses, orchids and hydrandas. I am doing half high/half low to save a bit. For absolutely everything, soup to nuts, I am paying $3200. And I did not skimp out of anything, I got exactly what I dreamed of. O and pretty much all teh florists were in that range. I have about 14 tables.

It all depends on what you want and who you book with. I'm EXTREMELY happy with Flower Barn. They've been so accomodating it is hard to believe.

Re: Centerpieces

my sister in law got a quote of $150 for her centerpieces and they were high and lovely :)

BUT. my other friend is having centerpieces that are $450!!!! she's got some kind of imported japanese flower or something comming in lol i dunno.

i think $250 is a bit high. but it all depends on the type of flower you are using. maybe shop around a bit. if you're still getting the same price consider swithcing to a less expensive flower selection.

Re: Centerpieces

I agree that price sounds really high, is that price including the price of the tall cp holder-one florist gave me a quote which was charging me the price for the actual holders, they weren't going to be renting them to me

I am doing half high/half low, all bo-k's and some extras thrown in and i'm not paying anything near that

Re: Centerpieces

most high cp's are $125-200 each. You can get it for under $200, they are probably charging you more than what other florists would.

One time i had one florist quote me $300 for the CP i wanted, but i asked another one and they told me $175 for the exact same thing

Re: Centerpieces

Flower Barn all the way.

I'm working on a beer budget when it comes to flowers but I got champagne quality at Flower Barn. I feel so good knowing that I will have great looking flowers on my wedding day and it didn't break the bank.
