Centerpieces

Centerpieces

Ladies I have a question I am thinking of giving away the centerpieces but I wanted to place like a starburst under a chair or a plate and have a nice thank you written on that starburst, what are you ladies doing in regards to that.

Not the candy starburst but you use clored construction paper and cut it in the shap of a star and then write somthing nice on that.

I probably will give it away to the couple who has been married the longest or there anniversary is closest to our date. If it is a table with no married couples then who has been dating/birthday closest to our wedding date

I did this. I asked my DJ to come up with a 'giveaway' game for each table. It worked out very nicely :)

Ive heard of DJ's who play a game, like dance for the centerpiece! the best dancer gets to take it home. i thought that was cute and fun!

Our DJ did some kind of game. I hadn't even thought about it ahead of time. He asked during the reception if it was okay. It worked out fine.

Sometimes they play hot potato at each table .. passing around something, and the DJ plays music. when the music stops the person holding the object gets to keep the centerpiece.

This is cute... the DJ asks that 1 person from each table take out $1 and that is what gets passed around. when the music stops the person who is holding the dollar ..gets to keep the dollar, and the person who donated the dollar keeps the centerpiece. (although I think this is a bit prejudice towards men b/c they are more apt to carry cash than women at a function.)

or

place something under a plate at each table .. and the person whose plate it is under gets to keep the CP. It could be a coin, or sticker .. whatever.

The DJ usually has some games for the giveaway of the CP.

I wish I could give my CP away. my florist wants them back.

They want them back! Thats nuts! I understand the stands but not the flowers!!

I am doing a yankee theme with with favor as cracker jacks in a beer mug. So I am going to be putting the cracker jack prize under the chair. The person who got that prize will get the centerpiece.
