i am going with a local florist and I couldn't be happier! I would go with what you had the best experience with and where you feel more comfortable. Thats what I did

diva florist on willis ave in albertson
Hi! Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding! I would just like to say that I've lived in the Roslyn/Albertson area my whole life, and my family has used Diva for many things. They used to be located right on Willis Ave in Roslyn Heights where I live. They have great connections and get great flowers and have always done great work. They are also very friendly and helpful, although they've switched ownership many times over the last 20 years. If they are giving you a lot for your money, and you've seen samples of their work that you like, and you're confident in their event experience, I would go for it! Do they have photos of any other events they've done for you to see at all? Just because they don't focus on weddings doesn't mean that they couldn't do a great job. You would just want to make sure that you feel confident in their ability to transport, set up, break down, etc. Or at for you to work out a contract with them stating delivery, set up, etc. I didn't check your RH before replying, but remember to consider travel time to venue, space in their vans, etc. Do they set up each cp there? Or do they put them together and transport them? Our florist (Spitz and Peck) sets up each cp there in person the day of the event. They bring all the material to the venue and do each cp there. I personally would want to have a reference of at least another wedding or two they had done for me to see before booking. That's just me though. I'm an event person, so I would want to make sure a vendor had the experience in setting up an event and not just making floral arrangements. FM me if you have any questions!! Good luck in your search!!

Re: centerpieces
You can totally go with them. My dad is a Florist (in Florida) and my FH is a wholesale florist who supplies flowers to both big places like flowers by brain and smaller places so you will be getting the same quality flowers as the big places. They do the same work as big places but because they are not known as a party florist then they can give you a cheaper price for the same work!!! Sometimes the smaller places are better because they are not as busy so they only have your wedding to focus on so you get all there attention!!! Not that the big places don't do beautiful work we are using Stefans... but if you found a small place you love then go for it!!!

Re: centerpieces
I'm sure the FLOWERS would come out lovely, the question would be the logistics. I would ask them specific questions about how they communicate with the church and RH re what time they bring the flowers, how many delivery stops they make, when they pick up the borrowed vases, etc. If you seem comfortable that they know the routine, then I would book.

Re: centerpieces
Honestly people always use these big named places, but your little local place is always the one that will make you smile. They give you great prices & they make everything beautiful bcuz they want the business to come back. That's just what I think. Good Luck!
