CenterPieces

CenterPieces

Does anyone have any ideas for centerpieces that are not as expensive as flowers? I'm trying cut costs somewhere or do things myself but am clueless. I don't want it to look tacky but flowers are so expensive. My friend told me I have to have some kind of flower on the table beside candles but then my other told me I didn't so I'm not sure.

Any advice ladies?

Thank You!

I like the floating candles. I don't see why I would need flowers with that. Oh well I'll have to figure it out. Has anyone used silk flowers?

i was considering silk flowers but everyone told me it would look extremely tacky ... i think they're probably right, unfortunately.

The problem with silk flowers is that if you don't want it to look tacky, you have to buy really good silk, which will cost you more than flowers will. That's at least what Flowers by Brian told me.

OMG! Evryone has the same response to silk flowers. Has ne one stepped inside of michaels or ac moore lately? The flowers look so real. Y don't u chk it out urself and be the judge if they look tacky or not. And some of them look better then the real version. So the opinion is totally urs. just don't listen to everyone who knocks them. And it is a more inexpensive way to go. And if u look at the bridal flower section at these 2 stores u would be suprised (especially with the roses)

I have seen silk flowers that look real but have never seen them at a wedding. I personally don't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that most ppl don't remember anyway. I'll have to go into Michaels and look.

Thank You

No prob. BTW, another way to save some $$$ is to alternate between floral and candle peices. JAS

These are mine. I ordered them on ebay and I got them last week and i LOVE them. 15 for $300! I'm going to have freeze dried pink rose petals on the table around the candleabra.

I am thinking of doing something like this. I am trying to figure out how I would have this set up the day of wedding if I get them on my own not florist.
