Ugh...I'm frustrated. I really don't want to spend money on flowers for my centerpieces, because I really can't justify spending so much on flowers, but I can't think of anything else that would look as nice on the table. I've seen other centerpiece ideas, but I feel like they all look tacky. Hmph.

Re: Centerpieces
Since you're getting married in April, you could do one of the fruit/fruit slices in glass containers. There are so many ways to DIY it depending on your colors (different fruit/vegetables) and they're a really simple but refreshing centerpiece - IMO obviously.

We were thinking amber colored lanterns with tea lights or LED candles inside. Also, you could do a nice fishbowl type thing filled with water and colored beads and a large pillar candle in the center.. there's so many options and it's fun!
I also saw someone take all different wine goblets and turn them upside down with a flower beneath each, and a candle on top (technically the bottom). It was lovely.
There are a ton of awesome lanterns at Christmas tree shoppes! We just saw a lot last weekend when we went to get things for the e party and I was kind of jealous haha

Re: Centerpieces
go to a local florist i bet you'd get great prices my cps were half the price a few of what the florist's on here wanted... other wise candles differnt sizes with rose petals look nice.... try Village Florist in Bellerose they were almost 2,000 cheaper for what i wanted.

Re: Centerpieces
how bout something like this?? this is a site where brides can recycle stuff they had at their weddings so they would sell them to you cheaper.

You can get nice flowers for under $1000. You just need to know where to look.

Re: Centerpieces
Hidden Essence centerpieces are about $65 per table (short not tall but that's a fantastic price).
I see some women on this website spending close to $3000 on flowers alone, which is CRAZY to me. Also, most people are willing to negotiate in order to get the business.

Re: Centerpieces
You should not have to pay more than $50 per centerpiece unless you want to. Luckily, you have some time you do some shopping around until your wedding. The best centerpieces are the simplest ones, because they are unexpected and they can really represent you and your relationship. I am spending practically nothing on my centerpieces because I am doing something similar to this:
But of course that is just me, and my ideas won't necessarily fit with your theme. I would browse tumblr and pinterest and see if you can find something that fits your color scheme and theme for a bunch of ideas but that isn't the conventional flower or candle centerpiece, because the farther you go off the beaten path, the less expensive it can be. :)
