Quick question: Are centerpieces really needed at the reception if the room is beautiful on its own?

Re: Centerpieces?
I think centerpieces are important. They don't have to be big and extravagant. Something like a few candles on a mirror or something. Otherwise the tables may look a little empty.

Re: Centerpieces?
I agree. I personally would definitely do something, however it does not need to be flowers. The candles on a mirror is a great idea, or lanterns with a simple candle inside you can get cheap from ikea or bed and bath. Or you can get a simple vase with flowers or make a few small flower cubes. People do centerpieces with fruit or depending upon the season you can use pumpkins or pinecones and seasonal decor. You don't have to spend a ton, but I do think in the long run it will be worth doing something because it will fill in the tables and just give the room a little extra charm. Depending on what vibe and look you are going for there are tons of different options!

Re: Centerpieces?
if the room has lots of windows/natural light I would say you're fine without centerpieces- if not, or if the wedding is at night i would do some candles

Re: Centerpieces?
I would say something small in the middle would add a nice touch. Like the other girls suggested, candles always add an elegant touch. You could take it one step further with floating candles, or candle sticks. I prefer flowers and I think a small arrangement of full flowers can look very elegant. Good luck!

This! I have seen rooms with just some flower petals sprinkled in the center. My mother did all of her centerpieces for her wedding for like $30 - she just bought a few candles for each table and they didn't look empty at all.
If the tables are small, you can probably get away without centerpieces. If they are the 10-12 person tables, even something small like a table number or a candle or something will fill it out a big more. :)

I agree! You need a little something to add to the decor.

Thanks for the suggestions. I may do candles I'm not a big flower person. I just settled on a hall and just figured out how to see if people replied to my post lol.

You don't need anything if you don't want it!

Re: Centerpieces?
I haven't gone looking at flowers yet but I want to do something simple like what the other girls mentioned. I want a nice intimate feeling. I feel like my room is gorgeous and doesn't need much. Just some love.

Re: Centerpieces?
Candles can make it feel more intimate. You don't need alot on th tables, just something to help its appearance.

Re: Centerpieces?
Are centerpieces necessary? No, of course not. You have to ask yourself if it will add to the experience for you and your fiance, or if you will mind if that one person with an opinion at your wedding says something about missing centerpieces. Weddings are so expensive for such silly things, do whatever makes you happy! I myself will have centerpieces, but they will be as inexpensive as I can go, definitely candles involved.
