Im a newbie and need some advice!! Our centerpieces are included in the RH contract. The thing is they are low floral centerpieces and I have me heart set on high. We can pick the colors and they are a decent size. If I go with the high its an additional charge of $60 more per table. We didnt budget having to pay for centerpieces so its out of budget. Is it bad to have low centerpieces? Im not really sure??
ADVICE pleaseeee???!?!

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
It is totally a matter of personal taste .... I would have been very unhappy with low centerpieces, but that's just me. I don't feel like they add anything to decorate the room, just the top of the table.
ETA: Some people have done 1/2 high CPs and 1/2 low CPs ... maybe that is a compromise?

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
I had low CP's - my room had amazing ceilings and I didn't want to compete with the height of them..
I personally LOVE low CP's...once i resize - i'll add a pic.

i agree with if you can do half high half low, that way you are getting your high cps but not breaking the bank totally... im not a big fan of the all low cps.. i just dont think it adds to the decor of the room either

I'm having all low CPs. . .I think its a matter of personal taste. Sometimes candles can add some height to the CPs, maybe you can discuss this with your RH. . .might be a less expensive solution!
Good luck

im having lo cps....but its a matter of taste in what u like and what u want.......can someone give u high cps as a weding gift?
we're having low CPs. after going to 4 weddings last year, all of which had high CPs, we knew they were not for us. maybe you can have the florist design something that will give it some height (how i don't know), or maybe you can do 1/2 high and 1/2 low.

i have low centerpieces and honestly I really think it depends on what your taste is and what your budget is.
I don't care for high centerpieces all the time - sometimes they are rather annoying to sit at the table with or if you have very low ceilings it looks rather silly. WIth teh room I originally booked it was perfect but now i moved to a high ceiling room i have to admit if i had the budget I might of made them high.

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
We are having low and personally I prefer that....I think the high ones, for me, just aren't worth it. I chose a room I loved the decor of, I don't need to try to make it look totally different with flowers....just want some flowers to be nice touches (my low cps). I'd rather have awesome music than high CPs, but that's just me.
It really depends what your priorities are! If you really want the high CPs, is there someplace else you can trim your budget?

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
It is true about personal taste. I like low center pieces because they don't block someone's vision and with tall ones, while people are seated they only see the bottom. The 1/2 & 1/2 sounds like a great compromise but make sure that if you go over the budget here that it is worth it and wont kill you.

I'm having low, I'm honestly not a fan of high CPs. I think low ones are pretty and understated.

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
Thanks for all the help. My thing was I thought low didnt fill the room although I do like how they look with some tea light candles. The ceilings are not very high. Our room actually is attached to a pretty stone patio with waterfalls. One side of the room is all glass doors to see and get to the patio so I am thinking that is enough of a pretty view??
Pray it doesnt rain for me

Re: Centerpieces included - Having trouble
Did you get to see what the centerpieces look like? Honestly If you don't feel happy with them then maybe do a half low and half high centerpieces... or maybe re-arrange the budget for the tables to have high centerpieces.
Here's a pic of my sample centerpiece- it's from Flower Michele just to give you an idea for low centerpieces.
Bad? No, it's not bad to have low CPs, and I personally like them better. If you didn't budget for high CPs, then I dodn't suggest laying out the money... there will be plenty of other expenses coming later.
