Centerpieces...Please Help!

Centerpieces...Please Help!

My FH owned flower shops so he's in charge of our centerpieces. He has made me a sample which is beautiful (about 50 roses and assorted other stuff - i have no clue their names - and it is exactly the colors I want). He chose high glass vases which are very nice as well.

My problem: I don't really like the look of the stems throught the glass.

I was thinking of:
1: coloring the water?
2. putting a ribbon around vase to detract from stems?

I know stems are a part of life, but for some reason they bother me.

Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Thanks for any input!

You could fill the vase with berries/lemons or something that would go around the stems so they would be less noticeable.

Ive seen vines wraped around the glass and it looks prettty. we ordeered tall glass vases because they were very cheap from ebay but we are wrapping someting around the glass also.

I am filling mine with river rocks. Michael's always has the 2lb. bags on sale for 88 cents.

I really like this idea. Maybe cranberrys would work well too since you're getting married in the fall!

I'd say berries or else the colored rocks or jelly beans
