Ceremnony Music Help!!!

Ceremnony Music Help!!!

We still have not chosen our ceremony music. My question is how many different songs do we need to choose. For example:

1. Seating of guest
2. BP entrance
3. Bride’s entrance.
4. Couple’s exit

Am I missing something?? We are having a catholic ceremony no Mass.

Also what are the commonly used songs for the different entrances?? I really want to incorporate Ave Maria somewhere in there.

Re: Ceremnony Music Help!!!

We called the Music Director at the church where we are having the ceremony and she faxed us a couple pages of information. Like where we need music selections, and some of the most popular choices.

If you are getting married at a church, I would give the director a call and see what they say. If you aren't getting married at a church, FM me and when I get home I can jot down some of the popular choices and spots where you need music.etc.

Re: Ceremnony Music Help!!!

I also posted a LONG post about this awhile ago... too long for me to retype but if you do a search for catholic ceremony music it should come up.

Since you are not havign a Mass, the only other appropriate place to have Ave Maria sung or played is during the prelude (seating of the guests or mothers, etc.) It is also VERY appropriate to have Ave Maria sung when you present the flowers to the Blessed Mother's altar (if you are doing that). MOst people that have a MAss have it sung at the Offertory or Communion.
