Ceremony at Hall

If you are having (or had) your ceremony at your reception location, did you get limos? Or do you think it is waste of $$?

I'm thinking of getting hair and makeup done at my house and then changing into my gown at the hall, so I don't think I really need a limo.

Iam getting hair & makeup done at home & changing into my dress at the hall. We are having 1 limo to take us to the hall then the same limo will go 5 minutes away to pick up FH & his family.

I am having my hair and makeup done at home, then taking a limo to the hall. I am thinking about having the same limo take us all- not sure yet.

We are having the ceremony at the hall and figured on one limo for just the two of us to go to the hall from home, and to the hotel afterwards, and that's it. Mostly just because we will be too wound up/tired later to drive and I don't want to have to be in the car with my FMIL!!!! That and it's great for a couple pictures. If you ask for just destination reservations (to/from only) and not the duration of the reception you should be able to get a great deal

We're getting ready at the hall, so it wouldn't make sense. Maybe you can get ready in the bridal suite there?

I had a small party, we did not get limos. it's waste of money IMO if your never leaving the reception hall.

we are having pictures done before cermony so we need the limo to take us to our place where pictures will be and then to hall. We will then have limo come back to pick us up at the end of reception.

I had mine at the hall and scrapped the limo idea, but DH surprised me with one to take us to the hotel.

We booked limos, only because our Bridal Party is so big, so we are having the limo take the bridal party to the hall.

we are taking pictures before, so we need a limo to transport us to the old westbury gardens and then to the hall.

My girlfriend is having just one limo. It will pick her (and her BP) up first, bring her to the reception hall and then the same limo will go from there to pick up her groom (and his BP). Doing it that way will save a lot of money.

I got ready and took pictures at home and DH got ready at the hotel. Plus we had a lot of out-of-town guests. So we had a limo pick up me & my parents, a limo pick up the my BMs, a limo pick up DH & groomsmen and a van for the out of towners who had never been in NYC before.

i'm taking pictures at my house so i'll be getting dressed there. we have one limo taking me, my bm's and parents to the hall and another picking up all the guys and the groom's parents at the hotel and bringing them to the hall. i just thought it was easier for everyone. who wants to worry about driving on their wedding day?
