For those of you who are having your ceremony at your reception hall, what kind of limo package did you get? Are you having the limo stay through the ceremony and taking pics with it after?
I know most companies have 3 hour minimums but that seems like a lot to just be taken to the reception hall.
Thanks!

Re: Ceremony at reception hall and limos
As of right now, since we are getting married at the reception hall, we are not having limos. I don't see the reason for the added expense, just to take pics - but that's just me. I'm not into traditional pics/poses so getting the 'limo shot' doesn't rank high on my list of 'must have' shots.
A 3 hr minimum does seem like they're asking for a lot. I bet if you leave out the 'wedding' word, they'll drop their minimum & price!

I am having my pictures taken before the ceremony, so I won't need them after they drop us off at the hall. They are coming back to pick us up at the end of the night though free of charge

Re: Ceremony at reception hall and limos
We did not use limo's at all. We got there nice nad early and just had a member of the bp drive. Leaving we rented a bus for our out of town guests and for those who did not want to drink and drive. We jsut hopped on with them!
I wanted the limo experience...so I booked one for an hour...just to take me and the bridal party to the hall...
then DH and his family (most out of towners) booked for one hour to get there...and one hour to get back...this was so they could all drink as well

Re: Ceremony at reception hall and limos
I'm having the ceremony and reception at Eastwind. The limo company i'm using is only charging us for pick up and drop off. Which is great so i dont get stuck w/ a package.

We're not going to spend on the extra expense of limos since we both will have a place to get ready at the reception site. It's just not necessary in our situation.

Re: Ceremony at reception hall and limos
We only used one ride limo from Alexis limousines, it was a lot cheaper that getting the package. It was a nice black 4 passenger, for me, my Dad and my two BM. It was the transportation what we needed, so actually we were expecting a town car not a limo It looked nice for a quick photography shot, because it contrasted with my silver dress. If you book it just by rides, it is a lot, lot cheaper.
good luck!

I think we are going to go without the limos and use the money for something else.
