Ceremony at RH

Ceremony at RH

I was wondering if you girls are doing programs or is that only if you are doing it at a church. Also if you are not doing a religious ceremony do you have programs for that?

It's really up to you - I'm having mine ceremony at my RH, but I'm not certain if I'm going to do programs.

we are doing one (hopefully a DIY program). We are doing an interfaith ceremony, and my side has NEVER been to a jewish wedding so I figured it would help them follow what was going on easier

I posted the same question the other day Wasn't planning on doing it, but based on the answers I got, I'm re-thinking my decision.

I replied ot the other post....

But yes I will be DIY my programs. It is nice for people to see who is in your party, any nice words or thank yous you'd like to give them, and any poems or versus.

I am definitely doing to do programs even though they are at the same place. I think it makes the wedding feel special.

i dont think they have to be done regardless of where you get married. but i am getting married at my RH and plan to make a program

I'm thinking of those program fans, esp since mine is in summer and possibly outside.

I think you can do a program regardless of religion or intensity. Think of it as a nice guide or summary of who/what is going to happen.

I was going to DIY programs but at the last minute I realized I didn't have time and it was almost a waste but that's just for us. We were going to list the bridal party, thank our parents, and do a remembrance poem for those who couldn't be with us on our special day. We were also going to explain just a couple of the tradititions we did throughout the ceremony (Jewish and Catholic).

Last minute I realized that for our guests it would just be too much. We handed out roses for our exit. For people to hold programs and the roses would be too much. Plus, between the ceremony and cocktail hour people don't go to their cars like they do after a church and now they have to carry around the programs the rest of the day/night. It was one less thing I didn't have to worry about and saved money, even if it was only a couple dollars that I saved.

We're thinking DIY programs, if there's room in the budget. But FH is a Graphic Designer, so they'd look more professional. He also made our save the dates. FH is probably also making our escort cards. And we'll probably have them printed at Staples or Kinkos, so the ink doesn't run.

Also, I think it's nice to list a run down of the ceremony (we're interfaith also, with the ceremony at the RH) and the wedding party with a thank you to our parents.

I did. I DIY'd them myself (Michaels has a bunch of pretty DIY program kits). I didnt really need them, but I thought they were a nice touch!

Was going to but then in the long run decided since its a non religious ceremony they aren't needed.
instead i will put the money toward cute fans or something since it will be out doors
