Ceremony at RH - rehearsal dinner?

Ceremony at RH - rehearsal dinner?

Ok, so these might be stupid questions, so I apologize in advance. But...for all you ladies who are getting married at your RH, are you rehearsing right before the ceremony? If so, are you still having a rehearsal dinner the night before?

Edited because I can't type for sh!t.

Ceremony at RH - rehearsal dinner?

We're not having a rehearsal but we're having the dinner. The day of our wedding before the ceremony we'll be told how everything is going to go. This is how my sister and my cousin did it and I think it worked out really well. The rehearsal dinner will give me an opportunity to give my bridal party and parents their gifts and to thank everyone for their help. I'm getting married on a Saturday but early in the day so I'm having my rehearsal dinner on Thursday night. That's how I'm doing it but it's your wedding and as always you should do it however you feel comfortable.

This! If you have enough time before the ceremony, then the bridal party, etc. can be walked through the details then. A rehearsal dinner could be done a day or two before the wedding to exchange gifts, etc. If you want to be stress free and if your venue allows it, you could even ask your bridal party to meet you at the ceremony site a few days earlier (the day of the rehearsal dinner maybe) and rehearse the details. I'm getting married at a church, so two days before the wedding, we will be doing a rehearsal at the church followed by a dinner. Hope this helps!

Thanks ladies! I hadn't thought of asking the RH if we could come by a few days before the wedding to walk through it, but that's a great idea. We have a tiny bridal party and will be walking down a super short aisle for the ceremony. So, the rehearsal should only take a few minutes. And we knew that we wanted to take our family and bridal party out for dinner, but I wasn't sure if I'd be making a bridal faux pas by doing that two days before the wedding, lol.

Haha, well, in my case, the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner will be 3 days before the wedding. My church is having an event on Friday and mass on Saturday, so they cannot accommodate my rehearsal closer to my Sunday wedding. I honestly would be happy to be done with it earlier so that I can just relax the weekend before and prepare for the big day!

Our Rehersal will be two days before since my venue has an event the day before. I think it will work out good because it won't be as stressful as night before with getting things done lol

I also am getting married early in the day so we will likely not do a rehearsal. Since we have so many a few bridal party members coming from out of state I would love to have a rehearsal dinner to give gifts and relax before the wedding.

I'm glad I saw this. I haven't even thought about rehersal, etc. I have to find out if and when I could do it. I'm thinking about playing a CD for my ceremony so I was only worrying about the timing of the songs to our walking lol

we are not having a rehearsal there because we will have time before the ceremony to walk through things and we only have one person on each side. I am having a rehearsal dinner to give out presents and go over the next days timeline

I'm having the DJ play a song for us walking down the aisle...it's a 4 min song and the aisle is do short it might take all of us half of that time. Lol

I'm also writing my own ceremony which is beginning to scare the be bejezus put of me.... So, I'd like to do a dry run and see how it will all play out.

My sister had her ceremony at the RH and we just practiced for a few minutes in the backyard at the house during the rehearsal dinner. She had the guitar player she hired come to the rehearsal dinner so we could get the feeling for the pace.

lol at least you're DJ will be able to end it once everyone is up there.

Good luck with writing your own ceremony, it definitely sounds nerve wrecking but I'm sure it'll come out perfectly.

Thank you! I'm hoping I can time everything right. I might have to get the bridal party together a few times to practice this summer. It will be a good excuse to have a BBQ and test out some signature drink recipes! Lol
