Ceremony Help-sorry long

Hi Ladies.

I am getting married at the Estate at East Wind. The ceremony will be there as well.
We are having an interfaith ceremony with a priest and a rabbi. Can someone give ideas about how to make the ceremony special and spiritual. FH and I both want a semi religious ceremony, but I feel that since we are no being married in a church we are going to lose that 'religious' aspect.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make the ceremony more religious?

Re: Ceremony Help-sorry long

Meet with both the priest and rabbi to see what they suggest. We're also having an interfaith ceremony at the hall but with an interfaith minister. Although we haven't set up the full ceremony yet, we know we want to do the unity candle, FH is going to break the glass, we're probably going to do the 7 blessings over the wine (although in English). We're basically going to try to incorporate as many traditions from each of our religions as possible.

Re: Ceremony Help-sorry long

I am getting married in a church, but at the end I am asking the priest to do a blessing of hands. It could definitely be used in a less religious setting but is still spiritual (IMO)- I got it out of a bridal magazine- the one we got at Pre-Cana was a bit too sexist for me. I will FM it to you if you are interested......

Re: Ceremony Help-sorry long

There are certain things that get done in both religious wedding ceremonies. In the Jewish faith- the breaking of the glass, drinking of wine, and the 7 blessings.
If you don't want the 'religious' ceremonies, but wanted other ceremonies, check out the knot. There is a sand ceremony, hand blessing, rose ceremony.
