Ceremony Location

Ceremony Location

I am living in CA and my wedding will be in NYC this Fall. I need to find a ceremony location in Queens, NY or near by areas. Outdoor is a plus. Can anyone provide me any ceremony location information? Thanks for your help!

Hi Jean! You haven't been on in a while! Most halls have ceremony locations on site. Have you picked where you are getting married yet?

Thanks for asking. I will have a Chinese Banquet at a restaurant in Flushing area. I was going to have a small ceremony there, then the banquet dinner, but I found out the place is not as big as I expected(My sisters checked out the place and made reservation for me before I even got a chance to see it). I am kind regretted this decision. But I can not afford to lose the deposit either. I've been very stressed out about this. To make myself feel better, I think I should like to an small & romantic ceremony location than that. Since I am not living in/near by area and I don't want to ask my family to do this for me either. I've tried search through internet, but I didn't see many at all. :( Jean

What about the arboretum? They are gorgeous. We were going to book there originally, but unfortunately they limit you on the amount of guests allowed.

There is this one: Bayard Cutting Arboretum

And I know there is another one on LI somewhere, just not sure where.

Oh, I just thought of something else, you can apply for a permit and get married at any of the State Parks.

ETA: I'm pretty sure the permit costs only about $50 and thats it. The only bad thing and they way they explained it to me is in most cases you apply for a permit and then reserve a spot in your favorite park/beach. Since it is open to the public, if someone is sunbathing in your spot at the time you are about to get married you are not 'allowed' to ask them to move. You also can't prohibit anyone from watching the ceremony. Just an 'FYI' (for your information).

How about the Queens Botanical Gardens? They're relatively cheap and beautiful!
