Ceremony Music

Ceremony Music

I'm having a DJ at my wedding who can play at the ceremony for an additional fee.

The thing is... I'm not sure that's the right place for a DJ.

My budget is stretched out so much already! Does anyone have any alternative suggestions for me?

I've seen harp players, violinists, etc. But they're probably expensive, right?

If you are a good detective, try a local university and either contact the music dept or go there and post a flyer in the music dept building. If they are good enough to play at a univerity they must be good and may be able to help you for less $$.

If you're getting married at your hall, then it would make sense to get your ceremony music from them. It'll be cheaper and depending on the type of music and the equipment used, it could work without being cheesy.

If you're getting married at a church or another venue, they can recommend their in-house musicians for free or for a small fee.

I am thinking about having a string trio or quartet for my ceremony. I've gotten quotes from $150 to $200 per musician. FM me if you want some details...

I used a violinist and he was $300. He was fantastic. Our guests loved him and everyone wanted to know where I found him.
I highly recommend him. ANother bride on LIW booked him too from my review.

Check out my review on the review board. His name is James Graseck and he has a website too.

$150-$200 per musician isn't bad, but my DJ would play the traditional music for $100. And the way I am spending money, I think I better stick with the DJ. lol
