ceremony music?
we are having the ceremony at our reception hall. we figured we'd just have our DJ provide the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, but is that too impersonal or tacky? How expensive would the simplest musicians be? Thanks

Re: ceremony music?
I had a trio for the ceremony and it was over $600. I didn't use the DJ like I planned because he would have charged extra for the second site (2 set up costs) so in my case it made sense to use the trio.

Re: ceremony music?
At the moment I'm using my DJ. I am looking into strings b/c my mother has started in on recorded music for the ceremony not being 'elegant'
. Yea, yea, my day, my way, but you have to pick and chose the battles. Although besides my mother I think my DJ would be the second happiest person about it b/c then he will only have to set up for CH and the reception and not do a third setup for the ceremony!

We are having a 3 peice jazz ensemble but only because my family is really into that. In ALL hoensty though I don't think it is necesarry and piping in music that your DJ offers is fine. I think everyone is so into the food and socailizing it wont be missed/Welcome New Vendors
