Ceremony Music

I've searched @ 10 different music threads, (and will search anything that comes up as a related topic to this new thread) and they all have great ideas for BP entrance, parents entrance and all other possible dances at the reception itself. However, only a few posts in those threads include music for the ceremony itself. I know most girls use the traditional wedding march etc. What I want are some untraditional suggestions.

I'm almost 100% sold on using From This Moment On from Shania Twain for my walk down the aisle, but I can't find music to work with that song for the BP processional and the recessional. Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome!!

I don't know if this will help, but I am using a traditional song, but in an untraditional manner. My FH is a surfer and he and his one groomsman go a lot, so I found a verson of Canon in D that is played in that twangy surf style guitar. Maybe you can find something like that?

Did you want something instrumental, or with words? Is there a style of music you like (like acoustic guitar or piano)?

Well, what I am doing is using some instrumental Enya for the BP processional, then using 'Only Time' for mine. Then we'll use another one of her instrumental pieces for the Unity Candle lighting.

I know what you mean about wanting the music to flow.

Maybe your DJ can help suggest something instrumental that will go with 'From this moment'?

I think the recessional can be totally different. We're going to go with Harry Connick Jr.s 'It had to be you' for that.

My FH's sister is playing this on the flute during our ceremony and I've never heard it - I am happy to see someone used it!

ETA: she chose it and I didn't know if it was appropriate of not, so i am glad it is!

That was soooo not my fault!! You can blame our best man Henry. As the captain of the pool team he is the reason I didn't play first and got stuck at the tournament!
