Just curious what people usually do for ceremony music when their wedding ceremony is at their reception hall. FH really likes the idea of hiring someone to play the harp. I was wondering if anyone knows about how much something like that would cost?

Re: Ceremony Music
A Haprist usually cost around 350+ for a hour. I am hiring Maire stack (I hope I didnt spell her name wrong) you can search MAS music, I have her playing a violin and cello, If you really want a harpist, you can check out their harpist in Liwedding.

You can get one from Julliard for $175 per hour (2hr minimum) plus a harp transportation fee.

Same here. She has been a pleasure to deal with.

Re: Ceremony Music
We're deciding between the string trio and quartet. Royal Brass has a harpist for $400 which covers 1 1/2 hours (ceremony and CH). They also have a harp + flute duo for $600

FH and I are going to book with Capriccio Ensemble. They were highly recommended and have a large variety of packages!

Re: Ceremony Music
We had our DJ play contemporary music that we chose.
As for Ave Maria, if that's what you want then that's what you should have. Doesn't matter where it is, there aren't any rules about where it can be played!!
