We're getting married on the dock at the Riverview Restaurant. We don't plan on having CH music since most people don't even realize it's playing anyway. So my question is, what do people do for ceremony music? Did you bring a radio? I don't believe Riverview has an exterior music system. Wedding is over a year and a half away but I'm still stressing about this.
TIA!

Re: Ceremony Music
I booked a string quartet to play our ceremony music. But many people will have the DJ set up music for the ceremony too.

I had originally wanted to do this, but FH wasn't fond of the idea. Don't want to pay the DJ for the ceremony or CH, just the reception (on a tight budget).
Is it tacky to have the music played on a personal radio?

What about setting up an Ipod to the music that you want? Just make sure you have someone there to handle it so nothing goes wrong. I don't see anything wrong with doing that if you are on a budget. I personally don't think that ceremony music will make or break the day! Good luck!

FH had mentioned this. We have the speakers, we have the ipod, just need an electrical outlet. Ok, so he's not crazy. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe we'll keep the ipod going for the CH as well......hmmmmmm.

That is definitely an option. However, I am not sure which DJ you are using, but my DJ is playing cocktail hour music for free. They did charge for ceremony, but not cocktail hour, not really sure why.

Haven't booked yet (booking in the spring) so I'll definitely see if free is an option. Thanks!
