Wh are you using and how much is it costing? I really would love to use some nice instrumentals, but I don't know prices and I'm kind of on a budget. Thanks!!
I am going to ask my DJ to do my ceremony music (most do that and it's sooo much cheaper) in traditional classical music, with light jazz and classical for my cocktail hour, and then the standard for reception. I wanted a string quartet but it is ridiculously expensive to get something even for just a ceremony especially if you are on a budget. If you plan on having a band for your reception see if they can do both and maybe they'll give you a break
a friend of my sister's plays the flute and has a duo with a guitar player so we are using the two of them for our ceremony and cocktail hour. they are called the windstrum duo. not sure if i spelled that right, fm me if you want more info and prices. not sure if they have a website.

Hey I am using the string quartet called heartstrings for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They don't have a demo or an hourly rate per musician etc. You can go to their house and they play for you and then we negotiated a price. They sound great and I was very happy with the price especially after a lot of other quotes i had received...The guys name is peter katcher and his number is 631-242-2116 if you are interested.

I am just using my church's organist and cantor - they gave me a sample tape and it sounded really great! I was considering getting a string trio, but after I heard the tape, I do not see any need to!
