What are you using?

I can't find any samples of songs with just an ogran. Everything is for strings, flute or a piano!

Are you having a church wedding? See if you can contact the organist. He or she will be able to help you

Yeah, we're having a RC mass. My FH spoke with the music director and he told us what songs we would need (prelude, recessional, etc.), but he didn't give us any ideas.

My FMIL works at a church rectory and she gave us a cassette tape to help us, but it contains string instuments, which doesn't help me much.

Guess we'll have to call him back for ideas, because I can't find songs or song samples online anywhere.

I'm surprised your musical director isn't helping you more. Can you ask him for advice on what to play? I am playing Canon in D for when I walk down the aisle. I don't know about the prelude or when the girls walk down the aisle. I want Ave Maria for during the communion, but FH want's another song. He also doesn't like 'There is love' (the song that is sung by one of the guys in the group Peter Paul and Mary). But trust me, that song will be played. I have my ways!

if he's still no help, call the Diocese - 516-678-5800. Maybe someone there can help? My mom used to work there which is why I know the number by heart ..hehe...but I don't know if they have a dept that handles the music in teh churches, but ask. You never know.

Also, go to a music store or whereever you get cd's and look in the classical music section. My aunt bought me classical cd's that are especially for wedding music. Good luck!

HI Jen! By the way- I have heard the organist/singer at St. pat's and he is awesome! We actually met with Father Steve today. We will be using canon in D for Processional and Ave Maria for Unity Candle and bridal march for recessional! HOpe this helps. And really- let's get together for those margarhita's soon!!!!!!!
