Ceremony Music Poll....

I'm a little torn between having a harp or string trio/quartet for the ceremony. The ceremony room is not that big, 40'X 20'. What do you guys think? Harp? String Trio/Quartet?

Oh that's a tough one...I love them both and considered both for my wedding. We would up going with the Strings because the harp was more money. Harp is so elegant though...if I would have to chose I would probably pick the harp.

I went with the harp. After I heard a recording of the harpist I was convinced. It was cheaper than the string trio/quartet and I found that because the harp has so many strings it still sounds like a room full of instruments.

i find that string quartets/trios are just so elegant and beautiful sounding...you can get a much fuller harmonic sound that way.

I voted for the string quartet/trio. I love it, nice and classic.
I like the harp too, it is just a bit eerie sounding to me sometimes. But that's just me.

you would be surprised at how loud a harpist can be....it sounds like a whole orchestra playing. anyway, I am biased because we are having a harpist at our ceremony....I voted for a harpist because it is unusual...I feel like a string quartet/trio is more 'the norm'.

I love harp music, so thats what I picked. There is just something so magical about a harp.

I voted for the harp but almost hired this group of Julliard kids to play at my wedding. They weren't very good at getting back to me to have a first meeting so I gave up- I know that they were busy with school but I couldn't risk things going wrong....I love harp music tho! Can't go wrong either way!
