Ceremony on site question

Ceremony on site question

Has anyone heard of the reception site adding a service charge and tax onto the fee for an on-site ceremony? I was married in a church so don't know if this is concidered normal or not.

--The RH orignally gave one price and then when they sent the contract the ceremony fee was quite a bit higher than orignally discussed in writing so now they are saying that the service charge is also on the ceremony charge.

Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure but it wouldn't surprise me. We actually got our ceremony site fee waived so we are paying nothing for it. Sorry I'm not much help

i would have to look at our contract but im pretty sure the service charge is on top of the ceremony fee

we have a 1k ceremony fee and then i think they add that to the total reception cost...then add the service charge and tax

I have to look at our contract when I get home. Our site fee for the ceremony is $750 I believe.

our fee is $750 but i'm pretty sure everything is all added together (with the reception) and then the tax and service is calculated from that

my ceremony 'service' fee is $1000. they said it's for setting up and taking down chairs, runner, etc. I'm pretty sure most places add this in.
