Ceremony Processional Question!!! HELP!!!

I also posted this on Brides Helping Brides....

Do the grandparents and parents (ie my mother and FH's parents)walk down the aisle as part of the processional??? We're just trying to figure a way to include FH's brother in the ceremony since he is not the best man and we aren't having BM's and GM's. So we were thinking he could escort the grandmother down the aisle as well as be announced with her at the reception.

The parents definitely do..i have seen some weddings have grandparents walk down as well! Having FHs bring grandma down is a lovely idea1

I think it actually depends on where you're getting married. I know a lot of Catholic ceremonies I've been too (and all the ones at my church back in IL) don't include the girl's parents or in-laws in the formal processional with the music - it's just the BMs and GMs. The MOB is taken to her chair at the very end before the procession starts and that's the sign that it's about to begin. But that could be different from church to church or based on what you want at the RH. Either way, I think you should def. work with the ceremony coordinator to find something that works for you! I bet they're willing to work out something that makes you and the fam happy

As far as I know, they are included. I think I will be having FH's grandparents walk down and my mom, with someone...

We're having a non denominational ceremony at the RH so i think we can do what we want pretty much...I guess I'll call the officiant and ask him what he thinks.
