ceremony Q

So my best friend's dad, who happens to be the judge of our town, is marrying us. Do we still do readings and stuff? Or is it just a quick, say the generic vows type of thing with a JOP? I know, I should call him but he is super busy at his law practice so I figured Id ask here first TIA!

It is okay to do whatever you want. Many people do reading at civil ceremonies. Whatever you feel is best for you.

Nope, you should still be able to personalize it. Even people who get married at a courthouse can add in things. If you're having it at the RH, you can still make it your own ceremony, and should be able to write your own vows. There are just a few things that are required to make it official, and other than that its up to you!

you can have readings if you want. Or you can even have a poem read instead. It's up to you guys - I would talk it over with your friend's dad and see what he thinks.
