Ceremony Questions to Ask

FH and I are going to meet with our Deacon tomorrow night to discuss the ceremony. I really cannot think of what to ask and I know as soon as I leave the meeting I will think of a million questions What did you girls ask your priest or deacons?? TIA

Re: Ceremony Questions to Ask

what about full mass or ceremony
when can you choose music selections
and who should you contact
questions about precana if you have not already done it
how many readers will you have
when can you choose your readings and can you have the book to choose from...together for life it is called...these may be ones you have already thought about...but I know they were questions I had for my priest...HTH

completely understand....for some reason I was more nervous about meetings with our priests than most anything else...and he is so nice, so I dont really know why...I also wanted to be prepared...we have another meeting with ours on March 9th to give him papers, etc...you might want to also ask what the requirements are if one of you is not from that parish...that was my situation

Re: Ceremony Questions to Ask

types of ceremonies available
reading selections and vows- can you pick your own or does it have to be something they have on hand
do you want to do a unity candle or sand ceremony? Do they allow that as part of their ceremonies?
how long does the ceremony you choose usually last?
do you want fiends or relatives to do any of the readings?
Is Pre-cana required? If so, how/when do you have to sign up and finish the classes?
What is the cost of the ceremony?
Deposit?
Balance when is it due?
How many times and when do they expect to meet with you before the wedding?

Are you haveing your ceremnony at a church-what is the cost of using their facilities? How early can you go in before the ceremony? What type of decoraations do they allow?
