Ceremony time

My wedding reception/cocktail hour starts at noon on a Sunday. The ceremony will be at a church about a few miles away. What time should I start the actual ceremony?

is it a ceremony or mass at the church if a ceremony make it start at 3 if a mass then 4 depending if you want to be in the cocktail hour or take pictures then you need to allot time and the best time is between the church and reception

I think a complete ceremony is about an hour plus you have to add time if you are going to have a receiving line and for pictures!!
I told my church what time my reception started and they gave me a time. But if i were you if you are having a full ceremony no later than 10! I know that sucks but i think you are better off. I am getting married at 11 am but it is not a full ceremony and i haven't decided about the receiving line...probably not since my cocktail hour starts at 12:45.

make it an hour or hour and a half before the cocktail hour depending on if it is a full church service or just a wedding ceremony. this gives you time to have a recieving line and take pics without missing much.

It's just a ceremony. I figured 10 - hope it's not too early for my friends/family.
