Ceremony Time

Is it weird to have a ceremony start on the half hour - like 1:30?

No, ours will probably start at 6:30.

That's fine, mine will prob start at 10:30. I wonder if it's weird to state 10:15 on the invite because FH family and friends are notoriously late to weddings...

Our ceremony is currently scheduled for 6:30 PM, but the invite time will say 6:00 PM for just that reason. I have arranged (read paid for) 1/2 hour hospitality for guests who actually arrive at 6:00 PM.

I highly recommend putting an earlier time on the invite. I will be having an earlier time on there.

our ceremony starts at 5pm, but we put 4:30 on the invites like the hall told us to do. Not weird at all

My ceremony is at 11:30, the invitation calls for 11 and since some people will arive early, they will have a hospitality hour where they serve juice, coffee, pastries from 10:30 - 11:30.

Ours is at 6:30. On the invite I am telling people 6:15 so no one shows up during the ceremony.

Ours is scheduled to start at 11:45! But I am going to write either 'one quarter past eleven' or 'half past eleven' on the invitations, because both of our families are always late for everything.
