Ceremony time?

FH & I are getting married on a Thursday night in August. Right now our ceremony is scheduled to start at 6pm I plan on changing it to a 6:30 start time this way CH is 7-8 and reception is 8-12. Is that OK?

Would a 7pm ceremony time be too late being is a Thursday night and i'm not sure how many people are off on Friday.
