Ceremony Time on invite

My wedding is scheduled for 3:00pm, but on the invites i'm thinking about puting 1-:45pm - 2:00pm instead. I know the type of people im dealing with and i would rather them early than late or right on time. How about you, are you giving a different time?

Wow, that's crazy early. If I showed up at 2 pm and found out the ceremony wasn't supposed to start until 3, I'd be really annoyed.

Are you getting married in church? Keep in mind church may have other things going on that day too. The hall, too,for that matter. If guests show up for what they think is on time and they're crazy early, there may not be any place for them to hanf out. I'd be careful. I think it's ok to put 15 minutes early, but not an hour or more, that's too much. If they're late, too damn bad. YOU'RE getting married!

If you are going to go the route of putting an earlier time for fashionably late geusts, I would at most do 15 minutes (so 2:45pm).

But honestly, I wouldn't even put an earlier time. My logic is, if they really want to be there for me, they will show up on time (if not earlier to make sure they are on time). If you miss the ceremony, oh well... your loss.
