I was told by Villa that if i want to have the rehearsal at the catering hall i would need to do it on weds or thurs. My job is giving me hard time about taking time off.
Is anyone else not doing the rehearsal at the actual site? maybe at a restaurant, Need suggestions please! My mother is flippin!
Thank You!

Re: Ceremony/Reception same place
I am getting married at Oheka. We are not having a rehearsal. The priest/rabbi said that when you get married at a hall there is no need to because the banquet manager will rehearse earlier in the day.

Even if you will not be seeing your FH before the cermony? my mom wants me to get out of the limo and walk down the aisle..

We're going to have a quick rehearsal the day of, so I think that should be fine.

You can do it at separate times. You're going to step out of the limo and walk straight to the ceremony? What about any last minute touch-ups?

Re: Ceremony/Reception same place
Long story...Mom has envisioned what my wedding needs to be..I don't have the energy to fight anymore..
I wanted to do the rehearsal-worse comes to worse at a restaurant in a private room , then do the dinner and BP gifts. Not good enough
Then i suggested doing a crash course before the actual wedding--shot down that one too..
I have no idea what she expects. What she really wanted was a church wedding, but my FH is jewish and i needed to respect his religion..She wasn't happy about that.. I think that's why she is driving me nuts already with the rehearsal dinner
Suggestions anyone?
THank you! Michele(aka ready to explode and elope)

Re: Ceremony/Reception same place
we're doing it the thursday before at the ceremony location (the hall) i wnted to do a run through before the actual wedding and it's a noon wedding, so we wouldn't have time to do it the morning of..... your job won't let you take off work for your rehearsal??? what if you worked half a day and did it in the evening?

Re: Ceremony/Reception same place
I don't know if this is what you want to hear, but if I were you I would probably just skip it. Make sure your girls know what order they're going to walk out in and that it. It's not like you won't have met with the officiant beforehand and know what kind of ceremony it will be. My friends were married in Jamaica in Sept. and they wound up skipping the scheduled rehearsal. they figured 'how hard can it be?'

I'm not planning on having a rehearsal. I don't really think it's all that necessary.
