Has anyone ever heard of the bride and bridal party mingling at the CH?

Yes I have heard about it from lots of people.

Personally, I am not doing this.
Also, my BFF who got married in July was SO gung-ho on doing this (we would fight about it lol) and then when the time came her and her DH got stalked and mobbed and they couldn't even walk around to eat, so they ended up leaving.

yup.

the last 3 weddings ive been to have done that.

we are going to another wedding in jan and they said no way are they missing the ch.

we our going to our ch too.
we are paying for it and are not missing a thing!!

Ok good. I was afraid I was being tacky! I'm taking pics earlier before the ceremony b/c I want to attend the CH, at least some of it!

yep.... i am not walking around during the reception from table to table, so I plan on being at the CH... and my photog said he plans on having everything done so we can go to the CH!

We will go to at least half of our CH....I want us to spend like 15 min alone in the bridal suite right after the ceremony, then we can come out and eat the delish food

We are! We are doing most of our pics before the ceremony (which is at RH) then after the ceremony going up to the bridal suite for a few minutes, then taking some pics at the RH, and heading to the CH!!

the majority of the weddings i have been to the bride & groom joined the CH either after pictures or after 20 minutes of getting something to eat in the bridal suite.

i think its good idea to spend a little alone time but not the entire hour. at least you can take the time to say hello to your guests & be able to enjoy the rest of the reception.

I am, I'm taking my pics b4 the wedding so that I can do just that. Fh doesnt want to but I will 4 sure. I don't want to miss a thing. It's all up to you though.....

We're definitely going to our CH hour - 1, we don't want to miss all that delish food! and 2 - we want to get as many hellos out of the way then so we can enjoy the reception.
