My mom and I are thinking of taking a trip into NYC next weekend to look at my veils. My mom had a question - isn't there more than 1 shade of white veils? How do I know which color to get? Are there standard color 'names' - can I match the wording on my dress receipt to a veil color???

do you have a swatch of your dress yet? I brought in the swatch and matched it up. At Pauls Veil and net, where I went last week, I did not even need it though. There was only one truly white one. There was ivory and a candlelight blue white.

My dress is diamond white, so Kim from C&H ordered me a diamond white veil. If you are not sure what color your dress is, call your salon and ask (thats what I did)

My dress was ivory but didn't look ivory to me...but C&H thought I needed ivory. I brought a swatch of my dress with me to C&H and still couldn't decide.
C&H gave me three swatches of veils: white, diamond white and ivory. I took them back to my dress shop and compared. My snobby dress shop didn't like that and told me it will never match if I didn't buy it from them but I still managed to sneak and compare and ivory was the right color for me!
