ok so since we are having our ceromony at our rh everyone is suggesting we see eachother before hand to make the pics go faster during our CH so we can enjoy that hour. Well I really dont want us to see eachother before hand to us it is bad enough we are not getting married in a church.
so now the question is do we extend the CH hr a half an hour or is that annoying for our guests.
Both of our moms think we should not extend it but understand why we do not want to see eachother before the ceremony.
what do you guys think?

I don't think that would be annoying for the guests. Its just more time for them to eat and drink. I think its a good idea and I would do it if my RH gave us the option.

i dont see the problem in extending it, most people love ch!!! and barely eat for dinner anyway so i think that would work fine!

i extended my ch by a half hour. i think that was the best thing for us in case our pics in between the church and reception take longer than we think. i personally wouldn't want to see fh before the ceremony. its more traditional that way i think. but thats your own preference. u said what your mom thinks about extending the ch but what do u think about it? it is your wedding lol

That is exactly what we did, our CH is an hour and a half. This way, we wont miss the entire thing. I don't think people would be annoyed. More food, more booze = party!

I agree!! We extended our CH not only for pictures, but also because we love an extended CH! The munchies are always so tasty!

My sister got married at EW and they extended the CH also by a half hour. It was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Same thing they refused to take pics before and wanted to still enjoy some CH. They did it and got to enjoy about the last 40 minutes of it. I think you should do it!

omg ITA with how you are saying it is our wedding! Both our moms say it is not a good idea but we both want too!
I am usually against other ppl when they say there moms wont let them this... there moms say no to this...
I just am thinking since both our moms have more experince in wedding and they are 2 opposite moms there has to be something right here lol.
BUT nope as long as we can afford it we are doing it!
