Chair Covers

I am wondering if the additional expense is worth it. I have seen some pics with them and it makes the rooms look so nice. Just not sure if spending an additional $500 is worth it.

i think it depends on what the chairs look like. some chairs are actually beautiful with nothing on them..big help right?!

I personally LOVE chair covers. I think they can transform a room. Ok, maybe not a HUGE transformation...but I'm a fan.

I really like the way they look, but since we are on a tight budget, the extra $$ isn't worth it for us.

To me it strictly depends on the chairs. If the chairs are hideous, then yes, budget for the chair covers. If not, then the covers are not worth the extra $$$. I'm having them but only because my reception site threw them in as a perk. Had they not, I wouldn't have gotten them but because I checked out the chairs without the covers and they were just fine!

Personally, I think chair covers make a HUGE difference. We had our e-party at the Chateau Briand and we had the chair covers and it made the room look so different!!! IMO I think its worth the extra expense.

I am getting married at chateau briand too and I feel that the chairs need to be covered...but that is just my opinion. I LOVE the way the whole place looks, especially the room...BUT I am NOT a fan of navy blue and that is the color of the chairs...plus silver outlining....not my taste.
I am 100% sure that I am going to cover the chairs!!

If it were me for $500 I would do it! Our place however is just too $$$$$$!! But i LOVE the look!

Where did you find them for $500.00??

I guess my first question should be for how many people did you get a quote for? I am getting them (have not decided on the vendor yet) But all the quotes I received are for $1000.00 for 150 chairs.

I really want to get them. I just love the look..

I just threw out a figure but are they really that expensive?? I haven't shopped around at all. So please don't take my amount as accurate. I though they would be about $2per chair I guess I was WAY off.

Kimmylyn that is ALOT for 150 people and we are having over 200.

Junebride where did you get the covers from? I remember your CB pics and I love the fact that the covers make the room look more brighter. Given that the CB rooms are so dark and the chairs are really blue. How much did you pay for yours, if you don't mind sharing.

I know.. it is a ton of money.. but I am seriously seriously considering it. I just think it changes the dynamic of my reception halls room. I have not even called my hall yet to see if they have a recommended vendor.

If you need some vendor information I can post it for you.

I have only found two vendors on LI that do this (so far anyway). Here is an official qoute I received:

Chair covers $3.50 per cover
Sash $1.00 per sash
Set up fee $1.50 per chair
Delivery approx. $65 each way to Patchogue.
Total $900, plus messenger, plus tax.

Anyone know of any where cheaper?

love chair covers, but we are lucky...even the color of the chairs in the hall match our color theme! If you can afford it go for it, something like that wasnt in our budget!

Thanks Kimmie for the info. I have to talk to FH about this as I started thinking about this more and we have to make the decision together. Once he finds out the price, he may say no.

We are having chair covers as well and we are paying more than 500. When my mom and I saw the table set with chair covers, we knew we wanted it. I don't like chairs at Villa's. The ones at Milleridge inn are nice, I wouldn't cover those. But Villa has the basic banquet chair.

I debated this soooooooooooooooooooooooo much. In the end we decided it wasn't worth it. BUT, my bridal party surprised me with it and I LOVED it!!!!!!!! I say do it.

I say they are nice for pix, but it will not change whether or not fun is had by all. No one but the bride remembers the chair covers.

LOL I will talk to CB too but when I spoke with the BM he said to speak with the Finish Touch or something like that. We will see if I can convice FH. I want them and Karina I love the way your room looks. See what I mean?
