The RH we are going with has a $500 ceremony fee which I am fine with. But they also have a $3 chair fee. What is this?? Shouldnt the ceremnoy fee include chairs? Thats an extra $300-$350 that needs to go towards other things. Is it inappropriate to have our guests stand around us for the less than 30 minute ceremony? We also have to pay for extra for valet parking, and that isnt optional either.

Re: Chair fee??
If the $500 doesn't cover the chairs what does it cover exactly?

I agree!
My hall charges are ceremony/chapel fee, but it includes set up, chairs, flower arrangements, stereo system, and white aisle runner. I’ve never heard of a hall charging for the ceremony plus extras!

This can be negotiated with some RH's. My RH includes valet. We aren't getting married there so I am not sure if they charge for a chair fee or not. However, yes, it would be totally inappropriate to have your guests stand the entire time. Did you book yet? If not, I would def. start some negotiations with your RH.
