Chair rails

We plan on putting a chair rail in our dining room. We have one wall that has a window. Should we put the chair rail on that wall too?

We (I should say DH) put up chair rail in my living room and dining room. Where the window and any door openings were, he cut a 'return' and finished it nicely. I'll try to take a picture of what I mean. Good luck!
