FH and i are considering doing a mini bottle of champagne (187ml) as the favor. we found the one he bought and had out when he proposed and the price currently fits our budget if we do one per couple.... is one bottle that size not enough?

that is a GREAT favor! and yes it is traditionally one favor per couple.

I was just looking into mini-wine bottles as favors (you can get a four-pack of Sutter Home for like 5 bucks). My personal feeling was that the 187mL size was best suited for one person. It is less than one cup, so it would really be just a sip to split. If you were to do one per couple, I would suggest pairing it with something else, like maybe a little box of two truffles or something maybe? JMO. :)

thanks for your feedback ladies... i think we will probably end up just doing the one bottle per couple (and singles will get their own) unless we can find something inexpensive to pair with it..either way i think we'll wrap them up and include two crazy straws with them haha
eta: i was just searching LIW to see if someone posted a picture of something like this and found that i must have subconsciously stolen the idea from alex (alexandmike2012) going to give credit where it is due, sorry/thanks alex!
