Not all halls do this-I actually thought it was kind of cool the first time I saw it-but I guess its personal preference.
Basically all the waitstaff walk out and around the dancefloor then thru the middle to the B&G and kind of welcome you...not really cheesybut I could see how it can be

My cousin had this at her wedding at JT, and I thought it was really cool and coordinated. I did'nt think it was cheesy b/c that was the first time I was seeing something like that.

I think this is a personal preference. I have been to a few weddings where this was done at JT and I just thought it was unecessary and took to much time not necessarily cheesy but I can see why some people would think that. JMO

we had it at our wedding...was a little cheesy. if it was a bit shorter we would've liked it....but just a bit too long for our liking.

they did this at our wedding..... to be honest, regardless of what you & dh think(or any bride thinks really), the guests love it. it's something different & unique, so when they come out the guests are all about it. After the wedding people were like 'that champagne thing was so cool!'...the ENTIRE wait staff comes out all high-posture soldier like with the champagne bottles in hand and napkins draped over their arms(formal style). They walk around the room(not really the dance floor if i remember correctly??) and serve the guests individually rather than having the champagne already sitting in the glass. Like i said, the guests are actually impressed by it because they do it in a cool way. don't worry about it being cheesy - it really just adds to the night!

ps: LMAO - the wedding march at JT is NOTHING like the one seen in that video at CB!! they walk at a MUCH faster pace...and there is absolutely NO bowing to the bride and groom lol. they actually didn't even come near us. they just go in & around the tables in unison. it actually didn't take long at all & i had 225 guests...maybe i lucked out with a speedy staff?? who knows - but i do know that the guests liked it & thought it was cool.

I agree..as a guest I thought it was pretty cool. Nothing like the video posted from Chateau Briand. The employees at JT were well coordinated and it had nothing to do with the bride and groom. If anything it was about entertaining the guests as they coordinated their March to pour the champagne.

I've been to a couple of weddings at JT and the champagne march isn't cheesy at all. It only takes about 5 minutes so it won't take up a huge amount of time, I think its one of the signature things that they do there, thats probably why they gave the bride a hard time about not doing it.

Thanks!!! We'll definitely do it then! Did you have to request it, or do they do it automatically?
