Recently I have had a change of heart about getting married at the hall, I really want to get married at a church now. But I don't know if it too late, and also will the church get mad that I didn't go to them first or will they be okay that I have suddenly had a change of heart??
TIA

Re: Change of Heart
look for churches - they don't need to know you have a hall

Re: Change of Heart
Can't you just tell them you'd like to get married on _______ date & not say you originally planned to do it at the RH??

So if I go into the church, I shouldn't tell them I already have a date picked and a hall?

Re: Change of Heart
The church may act all offended but whatever. It's your day. Your hall may apply your ceremony fee to extras, that is what ours said they would do if we decided to get married in a church after the fact.

Re: Change of Heart
I would go to the church and not say anything about already having booked the hall. It's just easier than having to deal with a possibly annoyed priest. Just tell them the date you were 'thinking' and go from there.

Re: Change of Heart
This same thing happened to me. Luckily, I told the RH that I was still undecided about the ceremony so I did not lose any money there and the church was available. Go to the church you are interested in first!

Go to the church but I definitely don't think you should tell them that you originally were getting married at the hall. Just see if that have the day open. My church questioned us regardless about why we wanted to get married at a church!
