Change of Plans

I posted this on the 'Brides Helping Brides' board last nite by accident when I should've posted it here with my 2011 girls!

O.k., so I am officially a Westbury Manor bride and couldn't be happier BUUUUUUT we changed from May/June to March because of the price. It's so much freakin cheaper it's amazing!

I'm figuring--it's one day--even if there's a blizzard (which I hope there won't be), the people we love will be there in their longjohns!

As for now what - well I guess it's vendor time LOL photog, DJ/Band, video (if you want one) - those would be the first vendors I would start to research and look into.

Def. tap into the one's WM reccomends - always a good starting point.

Congrats on the price drop! and I agree, start tackling some major vendors since you are approaching the year mark. Start with the preferred vendors of your RH and go from there. I would say in this order:

- Church (if you are not having it at the RH or if you haven't booked the church yet)
- Photographer/Videographer
- DJ/Band
- Florist

and of course looking for a dress if you haven't started/have one yet.

I'd say the next place to go is ceremony venue if you don't already have a location in mind/booked. Word to the wise, if you are looking for a church and don't already have it don't tell them that you booked the RH first - they tend to get cranky that they weren't first.

And definitely look into WM for vendor suggestions, even if you don't use them they're at least a good starting point.

My brother got married in March and it was a GORGEOUS warm day.

I wanted to get married in March too, but FH was obsessed with fall! He's so picky about the most random things.

i did the same thing because of price. we did our photographer after the RH
