Changes to your Band

Changes to your Band

When we booked our band, we were told that the names of the members go on our contract and if there are any changes between the date we booked and our wedding date that we would be notified and we could come back and see the band with the new member. If we no longer liked the band we could have our money back. So, FH decided that we should go see our band every few months just in case there was a change and we were not notified. So we went last night and guess what - the is a NEW female lead singer!!! Needless to say, she is fabulous and actually better than the woman she replaced. But just be aware that the band you hire is not necessarily the band you will have the day of your wedding even though that is what you are told. If you never go back to check out your band again, what is to prevent them from telling you 2 weeks prior to your wedding that so and so has left and has been replaced by so and so. Go spy on your band like we do, you might be surprised by what you find! It's a harsh reality, but it happens.

It may not necessarily be a new lead singer. She may have just filled in for the other woman if she was sick, had another engagement or whatever. Things happen.

I would call your band and tell them that you saw them recently and was wondering if the female they had that night is a permanent member. Since they said they would contact you, and if she is a replacement, I would ask.

NO, we spoke to them while we were there. She is a new singer. The other one apparently kept having issues with many saturday nights.

Thanks - and yes, I just wanted to make others aware that this does happen. Everyone is running a business.
