Does anyone have any experience with changing the time of your ceremony mass at a church? Mine is at 2:30 and I was hoping to move it to 2:00. There may be other weddings that day, but I think the one before will be at 12:00 which gives us enough time. I am afraid the church will not be accomodating because they have that reputation, so just wondering if anyone else did this and how it went over. THANKS!

Re: Changing Church Time
I really have no idea - I guess it depends on how many other affairs going on that day. If I were you, I would call ASAP since dates book quickly. I don't think half hour will make a big difference but just call and ask anyway!

I would call right away. Is this a Saturday wedding? I'm changing mine to a half hour later then originally discussed.

Yes it's a Saturday. Did they give you a problem with changing the time?

I actually just called before and left a message. When he gets back to me, I'll let you know. I believe as of now we are the only wedding on that day so I hope not.

Re: Changing Church Time
Maybe the church will work with you. We are having our church do a 6:15 ceremony when they usually only do 11:00 and 2:00 on Saturday's.

Re: Changing Church Time
Call the church. It depends on how much time they need to move the weddings along that day. I'd say if they have a ceremony immediately before, they won't be that agreeable to switching times.
We changed our time just last week, The deacon wanted us to get married at 3 pm but we moved it to 3:30 pm as the our reception/cocktail hour was moved up to a later time..
