Re: changing into flats
just bc when doing this bc when you get alterations done they tell you to bring your shoes in so they can hem it perfectly with your shoes on, so when you take them off the dress will drag.

If you must take your shoes off, i suggest getting a platform flip flop. I was at a wedding and the girl definately took off her shoes, she was literally carrying the dress everywhere cause it was dragging, it seemed hard to dance because she had to pick it up and hold it

i am changing into fllip flops during the receptions....they are actaully 3' platforms from VS which work out great b/c my dress shoes are 3'. Just think I will be a lot more comfortable.

Re: changing into flats
I actually wanted to find platform sneakers... but, I have to say, my sister has a pair of shoes, with a pretty high heel, that I've worn now, to two weddings, and they don't hurt me at all!!! I may just steal them! She'll have to find a new pair for herself!!! (they're silver, which is what I want, but it's also what they'll all probably wear!!!)

Re: changing into flats
platform flip-flops for me as well, and although I haven't gotten my shoes yet, I usually get my shoes around the same heel height so they should match almost perfectly.

Re: changing into flats
the shoes i want are pretty flat anyway.. so i plan on keeping them on.
im 5'9 without them and FH is 5'10 so i figure we will be around the same height.. and if i wear flats he will still be taller.

Re: changing into flats
I am not changing. If I have to but dont have an extra pair I will just go barefoot, that would be toward the end of the night when I become numb, lol. I want to find high shoes that are comfortable

Re: changing into flats
I am changing. I'd like to get a low heel for the ceremony and CH like 1-1/2'. And then change into ballet slippers at the reception. Hopefully the difference in height won't be so bad that my dress will be dragging.
