Do you think its a bad idea to switch jobs before my wedding?
I spoke to a recruiter, who told me that it shouldn't be a problem and I know this shouldn't be top on my mind, but how do I handle that if I get a new job after my invites go out (and my bosses are invited and they know it!)
Has anyone done this? Can you share your experience?

I am actually doing this. I expect all the people I invited from work to come. I have been at my job for 8 years, which may make a difference. When i was looking and interviewing, I made it clear to them that I would need time off for wedding and honeymoon etc. if they like you it won't matter!

I switched jobs within my company 2 months before the wedding. After I was offered the jobs, I talked to my future boss in telling her that I was getting married and that I needed to ensure certain times I could have off and she was very accepting of it. And that included understanding that I had already planned and booked a 3 week honeymoon.

I am going to be changing jobs this summer. My company was sold and they won't be needing the accounting department. So I have to look for a new job.

I am going through the same thing. I am debating about accepting an offer for another job. I've accumulated over 4 weeks vacation time at my current job, and they are very understanding when I need to leave an hour early here and there... In the long run I will be better off taking the other position. So stressful!!!!

I too was thinking of the same thing, but one of my sisters' told me to stick it out until after the wedding. I have to much going on right now to start looking for a new job. I hate my job

Am also thinking the same thing . I would like to get a new job but im worried if i dont like it there or if they dont like me then i dont want to be jobless with all the wedding planning. I know my wedding a year away but we booked 50 % of it already. I think its a bad part on me to changed jobs but everyone tells me no,
