UGHHH my period changed its normal routine and it turns out I am going to have it during my wedding and it would be 3 days into making it my heaviest day. I get my period for 7-8 days. I am on the pill so If I don't take my new pill pack this sunday and postpone it for a week or 2 then my period should change right? HELPP!!!!!!!!!

Yes, your plan will work. 'Skip' your period. I think with the pill you skip the placebo pills, but just call your gyno. I'm not on pills, so i don't know how to do it exactly. But my gyno reminded me how to skip for the wedding LOL. he called me back in to his office to let me know. So call your dr he/she should def be used to the question!

In my case, if i do that this month, i still get my period... you need to avoid the SUGAR pills n start the ctive pills...
U are on da pills and get 8days period?
Im sorry but u sould talk to ur gyno... Eveyone i know who takes pills gets a lighter period.... I used to get 7days... now i get 4 tops!!!

yes you can skip it but the doctor recommended to me to skip the month closest to you wedding. If you do it now it may be too long before and your body has a chance to get back to it's regular schedule. HTH!
ETA: just reread your question. The month of your wedding skip your placebo pills and start a new pack.

IF you DONT take ur pill... U may get pregnant!!!!!
Taking ur pills in TWO weeks will not be a good idea, IMO you can skip the sugar pills n start6 with a active pill....

Do it the month before your wedding and just skip the sugar pills and go right onto your next packet. It works!

I used to get my period for 14 days before birth control. I am a freak of nature lmao. Ok I had it all wrong lol. Next month I'll skip the sugar pills since I am already almost done with the sugar pills for this month. Thanx for the help

You should wait until October to skip because if you do it too early your body can go back to its normal schedule even if you are on the pills

I am in a similar situation my doctor told me to skip the placebo pills and start a new pack. I have to do this with a couple of packs (as advised by my doctor) so I won't have my period for the wedding or hm. She recommended that I do it now b/c if you do it to close to the hm, you run the risk of the bc not being as effective and could become pregnant.
Personally I would call your doctor and ask them what is the best route for you!

there is no guarantee that just because you skip the placebo pills you will 'skip' your period. you usually have to do this for a month or two in order to actually skip your period. you might even spot in between when your actually going to get your period. you can give it a try! good luck!

Yes I did this back in April...you skip the 'sugar pills' jump into a new pack and that should alter it...it did mine the next month and now it has been good. I also get my period for 7-8 days.. SUCKS big time HTH

I would just skip my next period and start the next pack instead of taking the week of placebos
I do this so that I get my period 4 times a year anyway, and I know it is not a big deal

I am on seasonique and it's the freakin best!!!!!! I do NOT need a monthly visitor, and I get the worsttttttttt cramps... so now I only get cramps 4x a yr when it comes!!! I have it now, so I will not get a 'visit' until after my wedding!!!!! Just something to keep in mind if u are interested! I love it!

I've done this when we've had vacations planned. You don't do anything now. The month of your wedding, you just jump to a new pack without taking the placebos.

Ok i have done this a bunch of times.
You have to do it like 2 months before. So after this period, start your next pack and when you get to the placebo pills you just start the next pack. That should push your period back a week so you should get it a week earlier in october which will put you on course for november.
It is definitely possible!

I actually skipped my placebo pills last month to not have it on the wedding night and some of the honeymoon. My GYN total character was like you don't want to be a bloody Mary double up next month so you can change your cycle dates. lol. I think I will have it at my bachelorette party though. I should have it by Tuesday so maybe I will be fine by the bachelorette party.
