So originally I was pretty set on doing a butterfly theme. I am obsessed with butterflies and the whole new beginnings thing is perfect for a wedding day.. but lately I just can't find things I like that are butterfly etc. SO I have thought of changing my theme. My colors are tiffany blue and white, with coral accents. Those I am not changing.
My other ideas were to go with the Tiffany thing since I am doing Tiffany blue and I was plannign on doing the little tiffany box favors as well as make my cake look like a stack of tiffany boxes.
Another idea I had was to do a beach theme... I know lots of people do that but we both met in San Diego, we both love the beach and we are doing sand ceremony as a part of our wedding.
What do you think?? I am afraid its going to turn into a mish mosh of themes?? I want it to be all go...
ETA: We are also getting married at Chateau La Mer which is by the water.... If I do the beach or butterfy theme. Is it ok to still have the cake look like a tiffany boxes and to have tiffany box favors with candy???

I am all for incorporating both the Tiffany and Butterfly theme. You could give mini butterfly cookies wrapped in tiffany blue boxes as favors

Sounds like you're pretty set on the tiffany, you could go the beach route with the colors you've chosen because of the coral and the fact that you're having the reception on the water, but you can do a butterfly accent if you don't want to do the full on butterfly theme....we're having dragonfly bouquet jewelry, I KNOW they have butterflies and that's something sweet that's just yours and you can still do the tiffany blue thing without having everything get mixed up

I wanted to add something other than tiffany blue to the invitations and was going to go with that for the theme.... but not sure if I should go beachy or butterfly.... so confused!!! What matches best with Tiffany blue, white and coral???

i am getting married in a garden but i sometimes wish i could have a beach theme because there are sooo many cool things you could do! i found awesome place card ideas ... take starfishes and tie the place cards to the starfish and then put them in a big bucket or tray of sand! (pic #1) and i have seen really cool CP like glass hurricane with seashells and a big candle ... im sure you would save a ton of money on flowers! i just feel like there is so much you can do with the beach theme! i keep finding cute things ... ill FM things your way if i come across other stuff ... cant seem to find the picture of the CP that i am talking about but if i do ill send it to you!

Ooooo. I know I think thats what made me change my mind. I saw soo many cute things. Besides FH and I both love the beach and in fact we meet at a bar on the Beach called SAND BAR in San Diego!!! Maybe it was meant to be. I can still do tiffany with it too.... and I could get my BM's tiffany starfish bracelets for DOJ!!! LOL! But if I do that I will definitely need to make candles and sand centerpieces so I can save $$$!!!!

Okay, I think you can DEF do the butterfly theme AND still incorporate the tiffany blue. You can stil use the CONCEPT of the tiffany box, but maybe do a variation of it. OMG, I am getting all of these gorgeous images in my head..LOL..maybe blue boxes with gorgeous colored butterflies on top....let me see if I can find any images for you to look at!!
But yeah, that's my vote--the butterflies and tiffany blue TOGETHER.

This cake is pretty, but you can do a more vibrant blue!

I think this cake is SO cool! the butterflies are in the middle!!
Also, I have seen branch centerpieces with butterflies that were GORGEOUS! You can always do something like that!

i would keep the tiffany theme with coral butterflies to incorporate that color also. they sell the butterflies at B&J in the flower district
