changing the date option?

Question-

If you found out that the same hall you're using had a cancelation and you want to switch your date, is this allowed?

Yes, I am currently having problems with the FIL's and called to check on this. Westbury Manor said NO PROBLEMS. They were more concerned that I was balling on the phone

Yes, usually catering halls always let you do that.

FFIL decided to be an *** and blamed it on FH.... they aren't speaking. Don't know what will happen at this point. Just waiting a bit more to see if it will blow over.

Most likely yes. I did it. I moved up my wedding from 4/2005 to 10/2004. They told me which dates they had available and I picked one. I also got a deal because I took a date that was cancelled on.

I would think the halls are happy to do it if you are moving your date up because then you free up a date that they can charge more for. (I had booked in 2003) If you are moving the date further into the future they may not want to give you the same price because they know they will be able to charge someone else more.

Their timing (as always) is impecable. Day at a time.... so for now I just keep getting really good ideas from everyone else. :)

Edited for spelling :)

Yes! I considered it and it was an option.

I did! my original date was October 21, 2006. We moved it up a month because we want to get married outside and need daylight...

I would imagine as long as it's a lot of notice it should be OK. (with any place)
